Product and Advantages:
Bright Kids Uganda strives to become a self-sustaining organization. The Market Project will allow BKU to get one step closer to completing that mission. Currently, BKU has an incomplete corner building that we wish to convert into a market. The Market will be managed by already budgeted for BKU staff. Bright Kids Uganda has some agricultural goods to be sold in addition to items purchased from the city, which can be marketed to the local community. In addition, in combination with the Heifer, Poultry, and Piggery projects the Market would be a great place to sell our calves, milk, broilers, and piglets. There are currently 5 restaurants with in the local area, as well as some lodging facilities that give the market access to tourists, volunteers, and international students.
