Product and Advantages:
Bright Kids Uganda strives to increase food security and self-sufficiency. This can be strengthened through projects such as the heifer project. By finishing the already existing shelter and purchasing a dairy cow BKU will be able to improve the diet of the younger children, eliminate milk-purchasing costs, and provide milk to the local community. The project would immediately begin to produce returns and would rapidly pay itself off. Calves that are produced can be sold as well as replace the purchased cow when it stops producing milk. The greatest benefit is that milk is produced everyday for both consumption and sale producing a daily income for BKU.
