Clinic Project-IN PROGRESS

Product and Advantages:

The security of the children is one of the most important aspects of Bright Kids Uganda.  At the most fundamental level, providing health care to the children is a measure of their security.  Currently Bright Kids Uganda in in the process of building a two-story clinic which has thus far been funded by Global Peace Exchange, a student-led initiative at Florida State University. When completed, the clinic will be able to provide health services to the children of Bright Kids, as well as address the medical needs of the community.  In addition, the new clinic will result in an increase in services rendered to the local community, which will generate an income for BKU.  As the final phase of the construction draws near, we are still in need of funds to finish the structure, its interior plastering, add the septic tank, and complete the plumbing. Additional funds will also be needed to furnish the clinic with items such as: a reception desk, benches, tables, cabinets, and a hospital bed. once these goals are met, the clinic will be fully functional for our new nurse and visiting doctors.

Goals:

  • Provide health services to the children of Bright Kids Uganda
  • Expand treatment services to the local community
  • Generate income for to sustain medical staff and orphanage
